NES Needlepoint

This is the other half of today's needlepoint experiment, and I think it went better than the Pokemon part. I used all NES sprites here because they were simple, and you can tell that I had to use navy yarn rather than black, because I was too lazy to dig for black yarn, but I hope that doesn't hurt the image!

Anyway, from left to right, this is Nana from Ice Climber, Kirby (from a sprite from Kirby's Adventure for the NES), and Pit from Kid Icarus. The Ice Climber one is my favorite, though I couldn't say why, but I like the other two, also. Kirby is the most popular of the three in my house. They're all characters in SSMB, too, and it would be fun to make all of them and tie them to a mobile or something. That's more ambitious than I've been for a while, though.

These were stitched on 7 count plastic canvas with yarn from my mom's mystical hallway of yarn. The photograph is courtesy of my darling sister and her lovely digital camera!
