Needlepoint Final Fantasy Girl by missy-tannenbaum Needlepoint Final Fantasy Girl by missy-tannenbaum
Hello! I'm uploading my first deviation of the new DevArt layout! Isn't that exciting? Even if it's not, it's still here, so I'm not sure anything can be done.

Anyway, I've been working on a big Neo Geo Pocket themed not-craft project that I'll chat more about very soon, and today, working on that involved four hours of editing screenshots and box art for Neo Geo Pocket games, as well as a photo shoot for my system. Because of that, I thought that doing something even tangentially related to the system would make me pull my hair out tonight (something which I've since recovered from), so I decided to stitch this lovely pattern, by :icondawnmlc: of an archer sort of girl from the pirated Game Boy game Final Fantasy X: Fantasy War, since she was cute and I wanted to practice some fun needlepoint stitches. The pattern can be found at Dawn's blog, which is at this link [link] , and it includes 3 other fun sprites! (The chocobo is especially good.)

This was needlepointed onto 10 count plastic canvas with both normal and variegated craft thread.

Simple but cute, it reminds me of when everything is fogged out in the background and there's important story-line going on. Does that make sense?

Thank you, and it does make sense! For some reason, whenever I think of that sort of thing, I think of Digimon, but I'm not sure that ever happened on there, thinking back on it. ^^;

..I'm not too sure what happened in Digimon either. I remember watching that Movie with the twin Digimons and..something happening. :shrug:

Same here, and I watched it all the time, even recently! I really enjoyed the movie, though. I just couldn't tell you what the plot was. Oh, there was the one part where the blonde kid explains something and it ends with, "...And now he's obsessed with chasing me..." which always made me laugh.

Thank you! I think it was sort of helpful to add a background, rather than just have the sprite floating on the canvas, so I'm glad you like it!

Thank you! I wasn't too sure about the background when I started, so I was really relieved when it looked decent! The variegated thread helped a lot, though, since the colors on it were really pleasant.
