Hello! This deviation is the second part of my quest to do a needlepoint cutout of every girl in SNK's fighting game Neo Geo Battle Coliseum. Today's victims are Nakoruru (to the left) and Shiki (to the right), both of whom got to be stitched at a similar time because they're both originally from the Samurai Shodown series of games. I quite like both characters, so they were fun to stitch, but Shiki's outfit was a little confounding as I worked on this. Still, I think they came out well enough! Plus, I've only got five more of these things to go!

Both of these were stitched onto 10-count plastic canvas with craft thread, and in order to make the patterns, I did a lot of modifications to original Neo Geo sprites that I found on The Fighters Generation, which is a very good website. In case anyone cares, Shiki is 7 inches tall, whereas Nakoruru is almost 8 inches tall, though the fact that all of these patterns are made at around midnight, when I can't wrap my head around all of that perspective stuff, means that Nakoruru still appears to be much smaller than Shiki.

Thank you! ^^ I thought they made quite a good pair, but stitching these two made me want to make Mina and Chample, too! Maybe when I'm done with this set she'll get nicely stitched, though. Samurai Shodown has really interesting characters, and the fact that the outfits are really detailed makes them fun for stuff like this, which is part of what wins SNK the fan art side of the girl wars, I think. ^^

Thank you! I had to take a break, so I don't get burned out and throw the whole thing out a window, but I ought to have another pair of them done next week! ^^

Looks really awesome! and I'm so happy to see Nakoruru :D and Shiki looks really great too, she is a cool character, but I'm not too good at playing as her XD I wish she had more appearances in SNK's games though.
But really great job, I love it! :)

Thank you very much! :D I almost made Hotaru yesterday, instead, but when I remembered that you'd asked about Nakoruru, I decided to get her finished first. Plus, she's such a cute character! I'm actually not that bad at playing as Shiki, though she's certainly not my best, so I'd like to see her in more games, too.

You're welcome :D!
Wow, you almost made Hotaru? She is also one of my favorite SNK girls, I may like her even more than Nakoruru XD But can't wait to see that one too, this work really looks great!
Maybe we'll get to see Shiki in a new 2D Samurai Shodown game... Whenever that comes.
