X-Stitch Fanart- Hinata

Hello! This year, I want to try to do one large sized fighting game sprite a month, so for the first of these, I've stitched Hinata from Rival Schools, which is one of my favorite games. Since Rival Schools is a 3D game, this sprite is from her cameo appearance in Capcom vs. SNK 2, with a sprite that I found on her character page at The Fighters' Generation.

When I started this project, I was a little worried that it would come out to look strange, since I didn't have exactly the right colors, but I think it turned out all right. The sprites done for the C vs. SNK games are really bright and spiffy looking, which helped the project as a whole, and the fact that I like the character probably helped, too. My favorite part of this project, however, is her shoes. I don't think I've ever stitched a pair of tennis shoes in such detail, as they include at least 7 shades of floss, while her backpack only has 2. They're pretty nice sneakers, too.

Anyway, this was stitched on 14 count perforated plastic canvas with DMC floss. The backstitched alphabets used are from the books Alphabets Galore! and 20 Backstitch Alphabets. Now it's time to get a headstart on my fighting game girl for February!
